From the Chairperson’s Desk

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a public health threat causing both illness and death of thousands of people of all ages in our country every year. The impact of TB spans beyond the health domain and has far-reaching impacts on social, economic, and psychological aspects of one’s life. However, we are grateful for the work that is being done by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) and its partners in fighting TB in our country as this has led to the removal of Zimbabwe from the World Health Organization (WHO) list of top 30 countries triple burdened by TB.
Our work is far from over. TB continues to affect many lives, but we are optimistic about the future. With continued support and collaboration, we can stop TB for good. As the Chairperson of Stop TB Partnership Zimbabwe, I am honored to lead our collective efforts in the fight against TB. Together with our dedicated partners and stakeholders, we are committed to driving impactful change and creating a Zimbabwe where TB is no longer a threat to the health and well-being of our people.
Our mission is rooted in the belief that through collaboration, advocacy, and innovation, we can overcome the challenges posed by TB and ensure that every individual in Zimbabwe has access to quality TB care and support. We are resolute in our commitment to championing the rights of those affected by TB and working tirelessly to end the TB epidemic in our country and beyond.
We believe that TB is a battle that can be won. With the right resources, strategies, and dedication, we can make TB a thing of the past. Our team is composed of passionate individuals who are dedicated to this cause. We are open to collaborating with all sectors to collectively push the end TB agenda.
I invite you to join us in this vital endeavor as we strive to build a healthier, TB-free Zimbabwe for generations to come. Together, we can make a meaningful difference.
Thank you for your support and dedication to our cause.
Ronald Rungoyi (Mr)
Chairperson (Stop TB Partnership Zimbabwe)
